ICCC WELCOMES THE LEGENDARY JOHN RHYS-DAVIES AS A 2023 GUEST STAR

In decades of yore, we’ve all been intrigued by the fantastical quests on the big screen to discover the “Ark of the Covenant” and “The One Ring.” But you won’t have to search hard to encounter the legendary actor who was pivotal in driving those stories, as John Rhys-Davies will be right here in Nashville at ICCC 2023!

For over six decades, Rhy-Davies has lent his acting talent to countless film and tv projects. You can expect to see him very soon in “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” and “The Gates” among a dozen other films in production.

Rhys-Davies' breakthrough role came in the 1981 classic "Raiders of the Lost Ark," where he portrayed the lovable and loyal Sallah, Indiana Jones' trusted companion. The film's immense success catapulted Rhys-Davies into international stardom and solidified his position as a versatile actor.

He was further showcased in Peter Jackson's groundbreaking "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, where he portrayed Gimli, a courageous dwarf warrior. Rhys-Davies brought depth and humor to the character, earning him critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase.

Throughout his career, Rhys-Davies has effortlessly navigated between film, television, and stage productions, leaving an indelible impression in each medium. Notable film credits include "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," "The Great White Hype," "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement," and "Anaconda 3: Offspring."

On television, Rhys-Davies has made memorable appearances in popular series such as "Sliders," "The Shannara Chronicles," and "Once Upon a Time." He has also lent his commanding voice to numerous animated projects, including the iconic character of Treebeard in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers."
