Easy Sign-Up and Participation

Sign-ups, cosplay pictures and videos, and scoring will all be streamlined at ICCC in 2025 to make things convenient.


SIGN UP HERE and then visit the cosplay booth in costume on Friday 5/16, Saturday 5/17, or first thing on Sunday 5/18 for the contest photographer, hosts, and judges to handle all that in one fell swoop! The cosplay contest’s grand finale is Sunday 5/18 on the ICCCon Main Stage. You MUST be present to win.

Group Photo and Finale Excitement

Join in the excitement with a group cosplay photo on the main stage right before the contest finalists are announced. You don’t need to enter the contest to participate in the group photo. Finalists will strut their stuff on the main stage just before winners are revealed and awarded, so get ready to channel your inner hero (or villain) with confidence! Remember, you MUST be present to win.

Prizes and Glory Await

All winners will receive general admission tickets for the next ICCC, with the grand prize including a coveted VIP PASS and cash prizes. Begin crafting your clever creations now, and practice embodying your character to wow the judges and secure a spot on the main stage for the grand finale! prizes and categories include:

  • “The Chosen One” (best in show) - $400 cash prize, winner's trophy, and one VIP pass to the next ICCC

  • “Ultimate Armorer” (best craftsmanship) - $200 cash prize and one general admission pass to the next ICCC

  • "A New Hype" (best up & coming) - $100 cash prize and one general admission pass to the next ICCC

  • “Most Wizard” (most creative/unexpected) - $100 cash prize and one general admission pass to the next ICCC

  • “The Child” (best cosplayer 12 years old or younger) - $100 cash prize and two general admission passes to the next ICCC

  • “Top Masters & Padawans” (best team of parents/guardians & children 12 years old or younger) - $100 cash prize and general admission passes to the next ICCC (limit 5)

Judging Criteria

To ensure fair play and recognize the most deserving cosplayers, contest hosts Benjamin Baldwin and Tamica Katzmann have developed a detailed scoring system for the judges to rate participants based on their creation’s overall look, cool factor, hand-crafted details, originality, and how well you speak & move like your character. The criteria include:

  • Craftsmanship (40%): Quality of materials, complexity & range of skills used, presence of hand-made elements, and creative use of materials.

  • Visual Design (30%): Overall look, accuracy/interpretation of character and/or universe, special details & personal embellishments, and cool factor.

  • Presentation/Showmanship (20%): How well you embody your character with actions, poses, and phrases.

  • Originality (10%): Creative/original/surprise factors in your choice of character & cosplay.

Contest Rules

  • Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to sign up and participate in both rounds of judging.

  • Costumes must be family-friendly with no nudity. Bathing suit areas must be covered.

  • Substances that could damage the stage or equipment are prohibited.

  • No jumping on/off the stage, acrobatics, or cartwheels. Surprise elements must be cleared with judges at check-in.

  • No real or dangerous weapons, live steel, or functioning projectile weapons. Props and weapons must be inspected and approved by security.
