ICCC 2023 CUSTOM EXCLUSIVE ACTION FIGURES: THE FULL SLATE REVEALED!

Collectors from across the country have already shown wide interest in the ICCC 2023 custom exclusive action figures, which will be available in a variety of formats during this may’s run of show. But artist Matt Brookins of D2C Studios has gone above and beyond this year in collaboration with showrunner Michael Havens to offer even more customs for those dedicated to collecting them all. 

In addition to the customs already revealed in exclusive retrowave packaging, Brookins will be making even more figures available. He explains:

“Like many, I have always loved Star Wars, especially the original 1977 film. I'm also a lover of “The Man with No Name”, also known as the “Dollars”, Trilogy, and always wanted to make some vintage style 1:18 scale figures from those films. I originally wanted to do 12 figures as exclusives for the conference to include a mix from both of these worlds and had made-up versions of each figure to show Michael Havens. While that was too many unique figures for exclusives, it did lend itself to me having some “limited edition” figures, which will be available at ICCC 2023.. 

“As I continued tinkering with Spaghetti Western characters and merging them with Star Wars for the 2023 ICCC, I started expanding the figures in the line even further. Knowing I wouldn’t have enough time to make even a fraction of these, I asked Michael Sweet (Vividmotion Customs) if he could digitally kitbash some of these figures I had already made the traditional way. He did a great job with that. But then, he started coming up with new ideas too. Before you knew it, we were going back and forth with all kinds of crazy figures. He really helped with working out the ideas and printing the additional figures we dreamed up. 

“And of course, Kim Simmons (The Man Who Shot Luke Skywalker) always captures magic with his photography! When I asked if he could do the famous three-way standoff from the end of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, I didn’t expect he would go so detailed recreating the scene so accurately. The dioramas and pictures that he made are even better than I imagined they’d be! 

“I also couldn’t help myself and made another Retrowave packaged figure. Snaggletooth has long been one of my favorite vintage figures, so I just had to draw him in 80s retro style!”

Greedo, The Marshall, and Cad Bane will be packaged on custom retrowave-style card backs and will be available to ICCC guests on a first-come, first-served basis. VIPs will be offered a special treat, as the 2023 exclusives will be available in an Italian-style retrowave four-pack, which will also include Boba Fett. This set has the true Miami Vice vibe.

ICCC 2023 will be held May 26-28, 2023 at the brand new Farm Bureau Exposition Center in Lebanon, TN, just outside of Nashville. Tickets are on sale now. Book a room at our host hotels before they sell out. #ICCCon
