ICCC 2023 CUSTOM EXCLUSIVES REVEALED: ‘THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY’

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly custom action figures offered as ICCC 2023 exclusives.

The ICCC 2023 exclusive action figures presented in an Italian-style four pack with that Miami Vice vibe.

Since 2021, custom action figure artist Matt Brookins of D2C Studios and ICCC showrunner Michael Havens have collaborated to produce exclusives available only at the convention. This year, Brookins has definitely upped his game with a unique theme and packaging dubbed: “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.”

The 2023 run includes four custom action figures: Greedo, Cad Bane, The Marshall, and Boba Fett. They will be available in a variety of iterations and presented in custom Retrowave-style packaging. Brookins explains his idea and approach:

“I have always loved Sergio Leone‘s spaghetti western trilogy: ‘Man with No Name.’ All three films are classic cinema, and George Lucas borrowed from them in his Star Wars stories over the years. I thought a mashup of Star Wars characters representing ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly’ would be a fun theme for the 2023 ICCC. 

“I have loved Retrowave music for years and was in the middle of recording a Retrowave album at the time I was thinking about this theme. For fun, I drew a picture of Boba Fett Retrowave style. Showrunner Michael Havens liked it so much that he wanted me to incorporate the Retrowave theme with what I already had started. So I spun the figures off from the more traditional Star Wars garb into some Miami Vice-style 80s clothing!

“I am honored to have Kim D. M. Simmons doing the photography again this year. It is still surreal to me to see figures I made in pictures by him!”

Greedo, The Marshall, and Cad Bane will be packaged on custom retrowave-style card backs and will be available to ICCC guests on a first-come, first-served basis. VIPs will be offered a special treat, as the 2023 exclusives will be available in an Italian-style retrowave four-pack, which will also include Boba Fett. This set has the true Miami Vice vibe.
