ROTJ ACTRESS FEMI TAYLOR, OUR BELOVED ‘OOLA’, JOINS ICCC 2023 GUEST STAR LINEUP

With the 40th anniversary of “Star Wars Episode VI, Return of the Jedi” upon us, ICCC is celebrating with guest stars that created the iconic, magical movie scenes we have loved for decades. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that Femi Taylor, who portrayed the dancing, green-skinned Twi'lek “Oola” in Jabba The Hutt’s Palace on Tatooine, has joined the ICCC 2023 roster of guest stars.

Taylor will be available for autographs, photo ops, and to engage with fans about her experience being a part of the Lucasfilm and Star Wars universe.

Taylor has been in show business since her youth. Having trained at the London Contemporary Dance Company and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York, she won a coveted spot in the original London cast of Andrew Lloyd Weber's musical “Cats.”

In 1982, when she was 22 years old, Taylor answered a casting call from director Richard Marquand for a dancing role in an unspecified movie. She was asked to come in her swimsuit, and she feared she might be auditioning for a cheap erotic film. Once she won the role of “Oola” she was told she would be appearing in “Return of the Jedi.” She reprised the role in 1997 when George Lucas filmed new scenes for the revamped Special Edition of the Star Wars trilogy.

We are elated that Taylor will join us this May to meet fans and share her stories. ICCC 2023 will be held May 26-28, 2023 at the brand-new Farm Bureau Exposition Center in Lebanon, TN, just outside of Nashville. Tickets are on sale now. Book a room at our host hotels before they sell out. #ICCCon
