POPULAR TMNT COMIC ARTIST JIM LAWSON JOINS ICCC 2022 GUEST STAR LINEUP

We’re pleased to announce that Jim Lawson — the artist who brought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to life in the “Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” comic series at Mirage Studios — will join the growing lineup of celebrities appearing at ICCC 2022. Lawson will engage with fans, sign autographs, and take pictures with them while discussing his decades-long experience as an artist and author.

Lawson created the TMNT “Rat King” and co-created the series “Planet Racers.” He is also the writer/artist of the black-and-white-comic series “Paleo: Tales of the Late Cretaceous.” He was a writer and artist of TMNT comics for more than 25 years.

Lawson knew at an early age that he loved comics and that a pencil felt good in his hands. He knew that he wanted to become an artist and set a goal to make a career out of drawing pictures and telling stories. After he graduated from art school a fortunate series of events came together that paired him with the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. That event was the beginning of Jim’s career in comics, which now has spanned nearly 35 years.

In recent years Jim has pursued a solo freelance career. His many self-published works include “A Walk Through Dinosaurland,” “Dragonfly,” “Dinosaur Head Cat” and “Jim Lawson’s Dinosaurs Coloring Book.”  Also included in Jim’s long list of credits are the recent “Hellride” and “The Box City Wallops.” He is currently working on his new comic, “A Sordid Land.”

We are excited to host Lawson at ICCC 2022, April 29-May 1, at the Sheraton Music City resort in Nashville, TN. Tickets are on sale now. #ICCCon
