Award-winning author and producer Chris McAuley joins the ICCCon 2026 guest list!

 

Chris McAuley is an award-winning writer and producer working across horror, science fiction, comics, audio drama, film, games, and licensed franchises. With more than 80 books to his name, his work spans original universe-building and officially licensed properties including Doctor Who, Star Trek, The Terminator, and classic monster media.

He is the co-creator of the StokerVerse with Dacre Stoker, expanding the Dracula mythos into comics, novels, audio dramas, and interactive games. Alongside actress and writer Claudia Christian, McAuley co-created Dark Legacies, a character-driven sci-fi universe spanning comics, audio, and games, featuring Commander Jessica Steele in a future struggling to escape totalitarian rule.

McAuley has collaborated with Star Trek legend Walter Koenig on the officially licensed short story Chekov’s Challenge, bridging Star Trek II and Star Trek III. He is also co-creator and creative architect of Galactic Beat, a new cross-media science-fiction franchise developed with Glen Eric Larson, son of Battlestar Galactica creator Glen A. Larson.

In film, McAuley is an award-winning co-writer and executive producer on multiple festival-recognized short films, including The Stranded Warrior and The Tower Protocol: Resurrection, earning international awards for writing, sci-fi, and production design. Along with Brooke Woods-Bechtol and Owen Cotter,he has recently  co-created Trinity Studios, a development-led production company building original, franchise-ready IP across film, television, and interactive media, combining strong creative leadership with long-term commercial vision.

He has also worked in the video-game industry as a coder and QA specialist on major legacy titles including Mortal Kombat, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones, receiving a Sony award for his contribution to preserving classic games for modern platforms.

Chris McAuley is known for blending strong character work with franchise authenticity and is a sought-after creator across publishing, film, games, and transmedia storytelling.
