TIMOTHY ZAHN, CELEBRATED STAR WARS AUTHOR AND STORYTELLER, RETURNS FOR ICCC 2024

Renowned Hugo Award-winning science fiction and fantasy author Timothy Zahn is set to appear at ICCC 2024 this October. Over his illustrious career, Zahn has penned more than 40 novels and 90 short stories and novelettes, making a significant impact on the world of science fiction.

Timothy Zahn is perhaps most famous for the Star Wars Thrawn Trilogy, also known as the “Heir to the Empire” series. Published in 1991, these novels reignited the passion of Star Wars fans, offering the first expanded universe stories since "Return of the Jedi" hit theaters eight years earlier.

Zahn will be signing autographs, taking photos with fans, and sharing his extensive experiences in Sci-Fi storytelling. He will provide special insights into the histories of the Star Wars Legends expanded universe as well as the new canon narratives.

In addition to his work in the Star Wars universe, Zahn is the creative force behind the Quadrail series, the Cobra series, and the young-adult Dragonback series. His recent Star Wars novels have continued to captivate audiences. Lucasfilm and Del Rey Books announced the release of his latest addition to the Star Wars saga, "Thrawn: Treason," in July 2019. This novel is a sequel to his new canon Thrawn series, which includes 2017’s "Thrawn" and "Thrawn: Alliances," the latter of which explores the partnership between Thrawn and Anakin Skywalker.

In 2020, Zahn further expanded the Thrawn narrative with the "Thrawn Ascendancy" trilogy, beginning with "Chaos Rising," followed by "Greater Good" in 2021, and concluding with "Lesser Evil" in 2021. These prequel novels delve into Thrawn’s origins and his rise within the Chiss Ascendancy, offering fans a deeper understanding of this iconic character.
