In the realm of tabletop roleplaying games, there are names that stand out as pioneers and trailblazers. One such name is Jeff R. Leason, a game developer who made his mark at TSR Inc., the creators of the iconic Dungeons & Dragons game. And he will be joining gamers and fans as a special guest at ICCC 2023 in our massive Tabletop Gaming room and RPG experience.

Leason joined TSR, Inc. in 1978 as an employee in the shipping department, becoming the 17th member of the team. Little did he know that his talent and passion for games would propel him to become a notable figure in the industry.

Leason's journey at TSR took an exciting turn when he was asked to proofread the Dungeon Master's Guide. His meticulous attention to detail impressed his colleagues, and he was soon moved into the editorial department. He quickly gained recognition for his contributions and became known for his ability to craft engaging and immersive game content.

One of Leason's most notable achievements at TSR was being a co-author of module C1, The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan. Released in 1980, this module is considered a classic in the Dungeons and Dragons canon, loved by players and game masters alike for its intricate puzzles, deadly traps, and rich storytelling. Leason's contributions can be found in many of TSR's late 70s and early 80s products.

In the mid-'80s, amid financial difficulties, TSR laid off 150 employees, including Leason. He then joined Mayfairs Games in 1986, where he once again made his mark. He took on the role of Managing Editor and coordinator for the Chill and RoleAids product lines. He brought his wealth of experience and expertise to create the second edition of Chill, a horror roleplaying game that garnered critical acclaim for its unique mechanics and immersive gameplay. Leason also worked on the "Mayfair version" of The City-State of the Invincible Overlord, an AD&D-compatible setting, further showcasing his versatility and talent as a game developer.

We are pleased that Leason will join us for ICCC 2023!

ICCC 2023 will be held May 26-28, 2023 at the Farm Bureau Exposition Center in Lebanon, TN, just outside of Nashville. Tickets are going fast, so get yours soon. Rooms are also going fast at our host hotels, so book before they sell out. #ICCCon
