'SOFT GOODS' A UNIQUE FEATURE OF ICCC 2022 EXCLUSIVE CUSTOM ACTION FIGURES

Soft goods, including capes and hoods, round out the design of the ICCC 2022 exclusive wave of action figures.

With all four ICCC 2022 exclusive action figures now revealed, D2C Studios’ Matt Brookins and ICCC showrunner Michael Havens are now ready to reveal the final details around the special project, including accessories, packaging, and inserts.

The four figures in the exclusive wave of custom action figures based on “The Mandalorian” TV series on Disney+ include Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight, Ahsoka Tano, and Bib Fortuna! In this post, Brookins discusses a key element of his accessory strategy: The implementation of “soft goods.” Brookins reports:

“There are a lot of customizers out there doing amazing work. But I don’t see a lot of them doing much with soft goods. So that’s one thing I wanted to include that I thought might help these figures stand out from what others may do.

“I spent many hours going to the craft stores, fabric stores, etc. feeling many different fabrics, buying samples, seeing how it worked. I’m happy with the material I finally found. I think it looks like it could fit right in along side vintage soft goods.

“I also spent many hours working on templates. Refining and adjusting them. Trying to get the fit just so. Bib Fortuna’s robe looks kind of dark blue in the show, but I just loved the look of the light blue as well. And then I had some original cloaks, so I thought having variants may be fun.”

 All four custom action figures will be available in limited quantities, and with different packaging, during all three days of ICCC 2022, April 29-May 1, at the Sheraton Music City resort in Nashville, TN. Each day will feature different packaging. Tickets are on sale now. #ICCCon
