KENNER TOY LINE TRAILBLAZER TOM CLARK TO TELL HIS ‘STAR WARS’ STORY AT ICCC 2021

Hey, vintage Star Wars toy collectors!: Wanna know where “4-LOM” got his name, or how the free Boba Fett mail-away offer came to be? You can get those answers and more at ICCC 2021 directly from legendary Kenner Product Manager Tom Clark, who will take a seat in our Founder’s Room to guide collectors and fans on a nostalgic journey to a galaxy far, far away.

Clark certainly has a lot of stories to tell. As the product manager for the Star Wars toy line, he led the marketing efforts and was the key liaison between Lucasfilm and Kenner’s creative professionals and engineers during the original trilogy years.

He was one of a select few who read early versions of the film scripts to plan and strategize. He created 3-year toy plans for each movie, oversaw more than 70 Star Wars toy commercials, coordinated print ads, strategized how new toys would give older ones new life, and even ate in the Lucasfilm lunch room with employees and actors.

We are elated that Clark could join us this year, along with our growing list of guest stars and toy-industry visionaries. Oh, and don’t forget to ask him about the Star Wars Droid Factory!
