ICCC WELCOMES GARRICK HAGON, ‘BIGGS DARKLIGHTER’ ACTOR, AS 2024 GUEST STAR
"It'll be like old times, Luke. They'll never stop us."
Those words were uttered by X-Wing pilot Biggs Darklighter to his best friend, Luke Skywalker, right before the Battle of Yavin in 1977’s "Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope." And the actor who uttered them, Garrick Hagon, will be meeting fans for autographs and photos at ICCC 2024.
Hagon brought Darklighter to life — so much so that the character set a foundation for decades of star wars lore and storytelling. As Luke Skywalker's childhood friend and a Rebel Alliance pilot, Biggs Darklighter played a crucial part in the iconic Battle of Yavin.
Though many of his scenes were cut from the final film, the character has remained indelible for decades and is a fan favorite to this day.
Hagon’s film work includes:
Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) - Biggs Darklighter
Mission: Impossible (1996) - CNN Reporter
Doctor Who - Abraham
Batman (1989) - Tourist Dad
Spy Game (2001) - Cyrus
The Message (1976) - Zaid
Beyond his film roles, Hagon has had a prolific career in stage and television. He has performed in numerous theatrical productions, including notable roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company. On television, he has appeared in a wide range of series such as "Doctor Who," "The Professionals," and "Holby City," demonstrating his versatility and enduring appeal.
He is also an accomplished radio actor, having performed in numerous BBC Radio dramas. His rich voice and compelling performances have made him a favorite in radio plays and audiobooks, where he has brought countless characters to life.
