Custom action figure artist Matt Brookins, who is producing an ICCC 2021 Exclusive Boba Fett action figure discusses the color and paint scheme that will finish these masterworks:

“Here is the final painted figure that will be boxed in a large style action figure box) The paint scheme is from the 1977 Star Wars Holiday Special. The figure was cast in gray — although I did add a little blue for a blue/gray appearance on the later casts — and the colors are painted.

“I did a very small number of variants, using gray for the shoulder armor and cod piece. In the original cartoon, the color scheme did seem to vary between a blue and a gray depending on the shot. I prefer the blue, as it offers a little more contrast against the other colors. I used brown cloth for a cape. Like Squidhead, it’s a fixed between the torso and head.”

Only 50 of this ICCCon exclusive “holiday special” custom will be available on-site in a collectible box. 50 mint on card ICCCon paint variants will be available via preorder on-site during the convention this April. If the pre-order is fully backed at ICCCon then Brookins will produce 50 more in a green and gray paint variant— just like your favorite bounty hunter! Only 150 will be molded ever!
